Add Canadian PM Justin Trudeau to the ever-growing list of politicians who’ve been asked about a 4-day workweek:
When asked by a reporter about the 4-day week, Trudeau said, “Right now we’re very much focused on getting through this particular crisis, and we’ll have plenty of time to talk about particularly creative ideas on moving forward, but I’m not going to speculate on what any of them might be.”
Like Jacinda Ardern and Nicola Sturgeon, Trudeau doesn’t commit to a 4-day week, but he does see it as one possible way to help companies reopen more quickly and get the economy moving– and help deal in the long run with problems of overwork, burnout, gender imbalances, etc.
