The Financial Times has a short review on SHORTER as part of its “Business Books of the Month” series:
In Shorter, Soojung-Kim Pang, the author of Rest, looks at companies who have… got their entire workforce to cut their working weeks. The result was an increase in productivity and often, profit. The practical study looks at what works and what doesn’t. Do you want to hear the best news? Most companies that reduce their hours tend to cut meetings right back. If that isn’t an incentive to read this book, I don’t know what is.
I’ll admit, I’ve been on pins and needles waiting for the first reviews to appear. Having done a ton of interviews and podcasts when I was in the UK, and a number of events in the last few months here in the States, I know they’re out there in the future, but don’t know when they’ll come out.
And there’s nothing that makes me feel more supremely and pointlessly narcissistic than constantly googling my own name– I actually kind of hate it, I now realize.
