Basically, the act of taking a picture of a delicious dish provides some of the pleasure of eating it, which increases satiety levels– "the feeling that makes the second piece of cake taste not-quite-as-good as the first."
As a result, the actual pleasure you get from the dish declines a little, for some of the same reason a second portion of something isn't as tasty as the first.
As someone who has taken plenty of pictures of his food, this hits close to home.
